Construction Supervision of Road from Hongsa toBan Chiang Man, Chomphet District, Luang Prabang Province, Lao PDR

The Hongsa-Ban Chiang Man Road Construction Project was funded by the Neighboring Countries Economic Development Cooperation Agency (NEDA). TEAM GROUP was assigned to survey, conduct detailed design, and supervise construction of Highway No. 4B. The highway is a standard two-lane road, employing a double bituminous surface treatment (DBST). The project starts from Ban Napoung, Hongsa District, Xayaburi Province and ends in Chomphet District, Luang Prabang Province, Lao PDR with a total length of 114 km. The alignment improvement will enhance traffic safety and facilitate travel from Huai Kon Border Crossing, Chaloem Phra Kiat District, Nan Province to Luang Prabang Province. This also boosts logistics between Thailand and Lao PDR in all seasons apart from creating more efficient transportation in the Greater Mekong Sub-region.

Study on Railway Network Development Master Plan for Promoting Special Economic Zones, Tourism, and Area Development

Client: Office of Transport and Traffic Policy and Planning (OTP)

The Ministry of Transport assigned the OTP to establish a railway network development master plan for promoting special economic zones, tourism, and area development. This includes the development of facilities for accommodating new transport modes that are cost-effective and energy-efficient. The railway network will then serve as a national transportation backbone in harmony with regional-level urban development directions. This will help to create economic opportunities at the national level and accommodate the increased traffic and transport volumes following ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) integration.

Analysis and Feasibility Study on the Finance and Investment Approach for the Thailand-China Cooperation for Railway Infrastructural Development

Client: State Railway of Thailand (SRT)

The governments of Thailand and China signed an MOU on cooperation for railway infrastructural development under the Transport Infrastructural Development Strategic Framework (2015-2026). The aim was to collaborate in developing the Standard Gauge Double-track Railway Project, Bangkok-Nakhon Ratchasima-Nong Khai and Kaeng Khoi-Map Ta Phut routes. This cooperation will promote new technology exchange between Thailand and China and create a significant opportunity for forging improved business ties in the contexts of maintenance depot development and rail component production. Moreover, the Chinese investment will contribute to risk management capability, particularly in terms of cross-border passenger and freight transport management.

Feasibility Study on Public-Private Partnership for Nakhon Pathom-Cha-am Motorway Development

Client: Department of Highways, Ministry of Transport 

The Department of Highways, Ministry of Transport intends to increase optional routes, resolve the traffic crisis, mitigate accidents, and create rapid and convenient transportation and logistics systems at the national level. It is thus promoting private investment in line with the Private Investment in State Undertaking Act BE 2556 (2013). This will help the Department of Highways to achieve its intercity motorway development plans, including the Nakhon Pathom-Cha-am Motorway Project with a net present value of 73,516 million baht.
