Geotechnical Instrumentation and Warning System for Monitoring Landslide and Flash Floods

Client : Department of Mineral Resources (DMR), Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment 

The DMR monitored the landslide and flash floods situation in 15 areas in six provinces namely Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Nan, Lampang, Krabi and Phatttalung. TEAM GROUP was entrusted with provision and installation of detectors, equipment and warning system for monitoring landslides and flash flood potential efficiently.

Study on Water Cluster in Seven Provinces Project for Master Planning and Feasibility Study

Client : Provincial Waterworks Authority (PWA) 

The PWA wished to resolve raw water and water supply shortage in both short and long terms for ensuring water security in seven provinces namely Kanchanaburi, Ratchaburi, Samut Songkhram, Nakhon Pathom, Samut Sakhon, Phetchaburi and Prachuap Khiri Khan which are economic hub and center of industry and tourism at the national level. TEAM GROUP was assigned to conduct master plan and feasibility study on water cluster investment to address the PWA and consumer needs throughout 25 years.

Study on Maximum Flood Level and Design of Flood Protection System for a Thai Cane Paper PCL. Factory

Client : Thai Cane Paper PCL. (a member of SCG)  

The second factory of Thai Cane Paper PCL. in Kabin Buri District, Prachin Buri Province does not have a permanent flood protection system. Currently, only a road at only one meter elevation above the project area runs parallel to Phra Prong Canal. The project compound is surrounded by a concrete well and barbed wire fence with a total length of approximately 6,600 m. The factory contains a rainwater drainage system with a storage tank for addressing water shortage in dry seasons.

Consultancy Services as Owner’s Geological and Geotechnical Specialist for Nam Ngiep 1 Hydropower Project

Client : Nam Ngiep 1 Power Co., Ltd.  

Nam Ngiep 1 Power Co., Ltd. planned to construct a new hydropower plant to generate electricity for national electricity agencies of Lao PDR and Thailand. The project included construction of the Nam Ngiep 1 Main Powerhouse with generating capacity of approximately 1,546 GWh per year to serve the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) and the Nam Ngiep 1 Powerhouse of Re-regulation Dam which exports power of approximately 105 GWh per year or seven percent of the plant’s output to Electricité du Laos (EDL).
