On March 17, 2020, SHK and GULF entered into an agreement for the joint development of Paklay Hydropower Project. The dam site is located in Paklay District of Xayaburi Province and Med District of Vientiane Province, about 1,829 km away from the Mekong River estuary. PLHPP is a run-of-river scheme with a normal water level of 240 m MSL and an installed capacity of 770 MW (14 x 55 MW).

 

ESIA of Paklay HPP was first carried out in 2014 and the latest update was approved by MONRE, GOL in June 2022. TEAM Group was engaged to update the supporting ESIA documents for Paklay HPP in August 2022, with a total contract period of 9 months, for submission to the Lender.
