As Nakhon Si Thammarat Province and Bang Saphan District are prone to flooding and water scarcity, the Department of Water Resources developed telemetering systems to automatically monitor water level and incorporated real-time measurement data acquired by the project as well as data from other agencies into a mathematical model designed to analyze, process, forecast, and warn about water situations. Water management officers and relevant agencies can use the results to establish measures/ guidelines for additional water management and assistance programs. Moreover, the data can be accessed by local residents via the internet to immediately follow up on water situations in Nakhon Si Thammarat Province and Bang Saphan District, Prachuap Khiri Khan Province.
