Feasibility Study and Environmental Impact Assessment for Huai Chan Reservoir Sisaket Province

The Royal Irrigation Department entrusted TEAM Consulting Engineering and Management PCL. or TEAMG to conduct the feasibility study and environmental impact assessment of Huai Chan Reservoir to mitigate the water shortage in the dry season and relieve the flood problem in the flood season. The details of the reservoirs are detailed as follows.

The catchment area is 39.22 sq.km. The average annual rainfall is 1,400 mm. The reservoir capacity (264.5 m. MSL.) is 9.67 million cubic meters. The crest is at an elevation 267.4 m.MSL.  The total dam height is 20.40 meters and the length is 620 meters.  The irrigation pipeline system of the dam is 18 kilometers long which can distribute the water from the dam to the irrigated area of 5,500 rai.
