Revision of the Mass Transit Master Plan in the Bangkok Metropolitan Region (M-MAP)
Client : Office of Transport and Traffic Policy and Planning
Service : Master Plan
The Mass Transit Master Plan in the Bangkok Metropolitan Region (M-MAP) requires a comprehensive study covering all aspects of the rail transit system, its environmental impacts and public participation in the capital’s mass transit network. The study will lead to the formulation of a 20-year mass transit system action plan (2010-2029) for Bangkok and its environs. Featuring a radial and circumferential pattern, the network is initially divided into 12 inter-connecting lines. In the interests of the public, the master plan specifies the creation of an integrated mass transport network with the use of a common ticket and fare rate structure. The plan will also act as a master plan for all agencies concerned.
TEAM GROUP assisted with feasibility studies investigating alternative routes, new feeder routes, prioritization of alternative routes, financial and implementation planning, and environmental impact assessment.
